India has always been a land of stories, yet we seldom celebrate the writers and creators who have shaped our cultural imagination. JASHN-E-AMRIT is an effort to change that.

Inspired by the creative vision of Padma Bhushan Amritlal Nagar, the festival is not merely a tribute to one literary legend—it is a celebration of India's rich traditions of literature, theatre, cinema, music, photography, storytelling, and ideas.

In an age where it is often believed that young people are drifting away from literature, we believe the answer lies in presenting it through innovative, immersive, and engaging experiences that resonate with Gen Z and contemporary audiences.

Preserving the Soul of Braj

Braj Kala Kendra has been dedicated to preserving, promoting, and celebrating the rich cultural, artistic, literary, and spiritual heritage of Braj since 1962.

Braj Kala Kendra (BKK) is an approved non-governmental organisation working exclusively for the preservation, promotion, and development of Braj culture, art, literature, and heritage — a tradition woven into the lives of Shri Krishna, Buddha, the Jain saints, and the great poet-sages associated with the Braj region.

One of the oldest cultural institutions of the region, BKK has carried this work forward for more than five decades, guided since its earliest years by some of independent India's most respected public figures.

Founded in 1962 by Late Shri Ram Narayan Agarwal, fondly remembered as "Bhaiyya Ji."

Founder President Late Shri Seth Govind Das Ji, Padma Bhushan — lifelong Member of Parliament and Speaker of the Lok Sabha after Independence.

Inaugurated at Sapru House

Formally inaugurated by Shri Morarji Desai in Delhi, with the blessings of Dr. Rajendra Prasad and Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru in its formative years.

A Cultural Landmark for Braj

A dedicated space where heritage, research, art, artists, and cultural expression come together.

Braj Kala Kendra is developing this major cultural and research centre in Mathura to protect, promote, and further develop the art, culture, literature, and heritage of the Braj region — envisioned as a unique and exclusive cultural space for the entire community.

The centre is rising on land generously donated by Seth Moti Lal Ji Shorawala, and its landmark auditorium project is nearing completion.
